2026 Summer Art Programs in Brunswick Md

Join us in Downtown Brunswick this summer for summer fun at Messy Bee Studio! We will have 3 art camps this summer, a Beatrix Potter inspired dollhouse camp, a sewing and crafting camp filled with cuteness and stuffed animals, and a board game camp where students will get to learn about game design and theory, play games, solve puzzles, and create their own game to take home and play with their family!

We will also have open studio for all ages on Friday evenings, drop-in days for kids ages 6-12, and classes for everyone from toddler to adults taught by Messy Bee staff and various artists from Brunswick Arts Council. More classes will be added soon!

Two Bad Mice
Building Mini Worlds
1/2 Day Camp

JUNE 29-JULY 3
9am-12pm
Ages 8-12 

Inspired by the Beatrix Potter tale “Two Bad Mice”, this week we will create our own little homes, complete with furnishings, curtains, and tiny plates of food. Hopefully no mice will break in and ruin the fun! 

Each student will receive a two-story wood dollhouse to customize. Will their house turn into a rainbow glitter dream home, a secret laboratory, or a haunted mansion? 

Camp will be held from 9am – 12pm. Please send your child to camp with water and a healthy snack.  

Please dress your child in clothes that you won’t mind getting messy or possibly stained!

All students will need to have emergency contact and release forms on file on the first day of camp.

Cute & Cozy Creations Crafting & Sewing
1/2 Day Camp

JULY 20th – JULY 24th
9am-12pm
Ages 8-12

This week we will learn some basic hand sewing and create a felt stuffed animal, felt an animal portrait, sew a small bag, pillow, or accessory, and weave a wall-hanging.

Camp will be held from 9am – 12pm. Please send your child to camp with water, and a small healthy snack! 

Please dress your child in clothes that you won’t mind getting messy or possibly stained!

All students will need to have emergency contact and release forms on file on the first day of camp.

Build-a-Boardgame
Gaming & Puzzles
1/2 Day Camp

AUGUST 3rd – AUGUST 7th
9am-12pm
Ages 8-12

Do you have a kid who loves to play video games, solve puzzles, or read adventure stories? This is the Messy Bee camp for them! This week we will craft our own board games, complete with the board, game pieces, dice, cards, and a box to keep it all in. We will learn a bit about game theory, story telling, and by the end of the week each student should have a game ready for game night with the family! 

Camp will be held from 9am – 12pm. Please send your child to camp with water, and a small healthy snack! 

Please dress your child in clothes that you won’t mind getting messy or possibly stained!

All students will need to have emergency contact and release forms on file on the first day of camp.

If your child needs to miss a day of camp or didn’t finish one of the projects, don’t worry! Each student will get an open studio credit so they will have extra time to work on their creation.

Ages 18 months – 5 years

Bring your child to Messy Bee Studio to explore colors, shapes, sound, texture, and so much more together! Each class we will have time to sing or read a book, play, and explore with a new art material. Make sure you both dress for mess!

Drop-In Days

Thursdays in Summer 
1pm – 4pm
Ages 6-12

Kids will get to play games, do crafts, draw, paint, and build at their own pace and follow their own interests in this open studio style program.
